Petauroides volans
These incredible Possums can glide for up to 100 meters and turn in mid-air. Like the Koala they are very specialized eaters, feeding almost exclusively on eucalyptus leaves.
The conservation of the Greater Glider is directly related to the preservation of mature forests. Without old trees providing nesting hollows and habitat to safely glide in, their survival is at risk. They frequently become entangled in fencing wire and fall prey to dogs, cats and foxes, when they are forced to come to the ground.
Average dimensions of the Wildlings are 65 mm x 45 mm.
