Vombatus ursinus
All three existing Wombat species are endemic to Australia. They are grazers spending most of their life in their burrows during the day, emerging at night to forage.
The Wombat’s range has been drastically reduced by grazing stock, which has degraded and destroyed their feeding grounds. The main mortality factors are starvation, predation by dogs, collision with road vehicles and persecution by people.
Average dimensions of the Wildlings are 65 mm x 45 mm.
